OVERVIEW
Welcome to Coco Balloons.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the Coco Balloons website and to purchases made through our online store.
Throughout these Terms, the words “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Coco Balloons.
Our online store is powered by Shopify, which provides the e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
By accessing our website, placing an order or purchasing a product from us, you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and any other policies displayed on our website.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit or exclude any rights you have under Irish or European Union consumer law.
SECTION 1 – USING OUR WEBSITE
You may use our website only for lawful purposes.
When placing an order, you must provide accurate and complete information, including your:
- Name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Billing information
- Delivery address, where applicable
- Requested collection or delivery date
- Personalisation details
You are responsible for checking that all information supplied to us is correct before submitting your order.
If you are under 18, an order should be placed by or with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
SECTION 2 – OUR PRODUCTS
Coco Balloons provides made-to-order balloon gifts, decorations and related products.
Our products may include, among other items:
- Personalised balloon arrangements
- Bubble balloons
- Bobo balloons
- Number balloon arrangements
- Balloon stacks
- Balloon bouquets
- Gift balloons
- Money balloons
- Gender reveal balloons
- Surprise balloons
- Balloon gift boxes
- Other customised balloon designs
Many of our products are handmade and created individually for each customer.
Because of this, small variations between the product shown in photographs and the finished product may occur.
We make reasonable efforts to display product colours and designs accurately. However, colours may appear differently depending on your device, screen settings, lighting and availability of materials.
These normal variations do not necessarily mean that the product is defective.
SECTION 3 – PERSONALISED AND CUSTOM ORDERS
Customers are responsible for entering personalisation information correctly when ordering.
This includes names, ages, dates, messages, colours, wording and any other requested customisation.
Please carefully check all spelling and details before submitting your order.
If incorrect information was supplied by the customer and the product has already been personalised or produced, we may not be able to change or remake the item free of charge.
If we make an error in the personalisation compared with the information provided in your confirmed order, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with your consumer rights.
We may contact you if clarification is required before producing your order.
Failure to respond may result in a delay to your order.
SECTION 4 – ORDERS AND ORDER ACCEPTANCE
Submitting an order through our website constitutes an offer to purchase from Coco Balloons.
After submitting an order, you should receive an order confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- A product or material is unavailable
- There has been an obvious pricing or website error
- We cannot fulfil the requested date
- Delivery is outside our delivery area
- Necessary personalisation information has not been provided
- Payment cannot be processed
- We reasonably believe an order is fraudulent
If we cancel an order after payment has been received, we will refund the relevant amount to the original payment method.
SECTION 5 – PRICES AND PAYMENT
All prices are displayed in euro (€) unless otherwise stated.
The price applicable to your order will be the price displayed when the order is submitted.
Delivery charges, where applicable, will be shown separately before checkout or otherwise clearly communicated before the order is confirmed.
Customers will not be charged additional mandatory fees that were not disclosed before purchase.
Payment must normally be completed before we begin preparing an order.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Price changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted and paid for.
Promotional offers may be subject to separate terms and may be withdrawn or changed at any time before an order is placed.
SECTION 6 – COLLECTION
Collection is available from our collection location in 10 Holywell Wood, Swords, Co. Dublin.
Customers must select or agree a collection date and, where applicable, a collection time.
The exact collection details and instructions may be provided as part of your order confirmation or separately before collection.
Please arrive during your agreed collection period.
If you are unable to collect at the agreed time, please contact us as soon as possible.
Because balloon products can be time-sensitive and are usually prepared for a particular date, we cannot guarantee that products will remain in their original condition if they are collected significantly later than agreed.
Once an order has been collected, customers should transport and store the balloons carefully in accordance with any care instructions provided.
SECTION 7 – LOCAL DELIVERY
Coco Balloons offers local delivery to eligible areas.
Any delivery charge applicable to your address will be displayed or confirmed before your order is completed.
Customers are responsible for supplying a complete and accurate delivery address and contact number.
Someone should be available to receive the balloon order during the agreed delivery period unless another arrangement has been agreed with us in advance.
If we cannot complete delivery because:
- The address supplied is incorrect
- Nobody is available to receive the order
- We cannot safely access the property
- We cannot contact the customer or recipient
we may need to arrange collection or redelivery.
An additional delivery charge may apply to a second delivery attempt where the failed delivery resulted from circumstances within the customer's control.
We will make reasonable efforts to deliver orders at the agreed time or within the agreed delivery window.
Occasionally delays may occur because of traffic, severe weather, road closures, emergencies or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If a significant delay occurs, we will try to contact you as soon as reasonably possible.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.
SECTION 8 – CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible at:
We ask that cancellation requests be made within 24 hours of placing the order.
However, many Coco Balloons products are made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised.
Once production, personalisation or preparation of a customised product has begun, we may be unable to accept a cancellation or change-of-mind return.
Under Irish and EU consumer rules, the normal 14-day cooling-off right for many online purchases does not generally apply to goods made to the customer's specifications or clearly personalised. European Union
This does not affect your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract. CCPC
Any cancellation will be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and applicable consumer law.
SECTION 9 – RETURNS, REFUNDS AND FAULTY PRODUCTS
Because many of our balloons are personalised and made specifically for each customer, they cannot normally be returned simply because the customer has changed their mind.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
If your product is:
- Faulty
- Damaged when supplied
- Incorrect
- Significantly different from what was ordered
- Missing an agreed element of the order

Where possible, please provide your order number and photographs showing the problem.
We will assess the issue and provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable Irish consumer law.
Personalised goods remain protected where they are faulty; the personalised-goods exception relates to change-of-mind cancellation, not faulty products. CCPC

SECTION 10 – BALLOON CARE AND LIFESPAN
Balloons are delicate products.
Their appearance and lifespan can be affected by factors outside our control after collection or delivery, including:
- Heat
- Cold
- Direct sunlight
- Sudden temperature changes
- Wind
- Rain
- Sharp objects
- Rough handling
- Transport
- Pets
- Children
- Static electricity
- Storage conditions
Customers should keep balloons indoors at a comfortable room temperature unless the product is specifically designed for outdoor use.
Do not leave balloons inside a hot or very cold vehicle for extended periods.
Balloon float times and lifespan vary depending on balloon type, environmental conditions and handling.
Any estimated lifespan we provide is an estimate rather than a guarantee, except where otherwise required by law.
This section does not exclude responsibility for a product that was faulty when supplied.
SECTION 11 – BALLOON SAFETY
Children should be supervised around balloons.
Broken or uninflated balloons may present a choking hazard and should be kept away from young children.
Ribbon, string and fishing line may present an entanglement hazard.
Where balloons contain small decorative components, these should also be kept away from young children.
Latex balloons may contain natural rubber latex.
Customers who know that the recipient has a latex allergy should contact us before ordering so we can discuss suitable options where available.
Helium should never be intentionally inhaled.
Balloons should not be released outdoors.
Customers are responsible for using and disposing of balloon products safely after collection or delivery.
SECTION 12 – PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS
Occasionally a particular balloon, ribbon, flower, decorative item, colour shade or packaging material may become unavailable.
Where a minor component is unavailable, we may substitute it with an item of similar style, quality and value while making reasonable efforts to preserve the overall appearance and theme of the design.
For a substantial change that would materially alter the product ordered, we will attempt to contact you before proceeding.
SECTION 13 – GIFT ITEMS AND CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED ITEMS
Where we offer balloon arrangements incorporating gifts, money or other items supplied by a customer, any special requirements will be agreed before the order is prepared.
Customers are responsible for accurately declaring and safely providing any customer-supplied item.
We may refuse to place an item inside a balloon or arrangement where we believe doing so would be unsafe or likely to damage the balloon, item or arrangement.
We do not accept prohibited, dangerous or unlawful items.
SECTION 14 – WEBSITE INFORMATION AND ERRORS
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, prices and other information on our website are accurate.
Occasionally information may contain typographical mistakes, pricing errors, incorrect availability information or other errors.
We reserve the right to correct genuine errors.
If an error materially affects an order that you have already placed, we will contact you and, where appropriate, offer you the choice of proceeding with the corrected information or cancelling the affected order for a refund.
SECTION 15 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the content of the Coco Balloons website, including our original photographs, videos, graphics, written content, branding and designs, belongs to Coco Balloons or is used with permission.
You may view our website for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, republish, commercially exploit or distribute our original website material without permission, except where permitted by law.
Third-party trademarks, characters, names or designs remain the property of their respective owners.
SECTION 16 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Our website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties.
We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices or services provided by independent third parties.
Where you choose to use a third-party website or service, its own terms and privacy policies may apply.
We may also use third-party services to provide features such as payments, communications, website functionality or delivery-related services.
SECTION 17 – RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY
Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide our online store and related services.
However, purchases made from Coco Balloons are transactions directly between the customer and Coco Balloons.
Shopify provides the technology supporting our store but is not the seller of Coco Balloons products.
Questions about an order placed with Coco Balloons should therefore be directed to us.

SECTION 18 – PRIVACY AND PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information provided through our website is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may need to collect information such as your name, telephone number, email address, billing information and delivery information in order to process and fulfil your order.
Because our store is hosted by Shopify, certain information is also processed by Shopify and other service providers necessary to operate the store and process transactions.

SECTION 19 – CUSTOMER REVIEWS, PHOTOS AND FEEDBACK
If you voluntarily send us feedback, reviews or photographs of our products, we may ask for permission to share them on our website or social media.
We will not intentionally publish identifiable personal information beyond what you have agreed to share.
You must not submit content that:
- Infringes another person's rights
- Is unlawful
- Is abusive or defamatory
- Contains malicious software
- Is deliberately false or misleading
SECTION 20 – PROHIBITED USES
You must not use our website:
- For unlawful purposes
- To commit fraud
- To interfere with the operation or security of the website

Where an outage affects an order already placed, this does not remove any statutory rights relating to that order.
SECTION 22 – LIABILITY AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under Irish law.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
To the extent permitted by law, Coco Balloons will not be responsible for losses resulting solely from:
- Customer misuse or mishandling of a product
- Failure to follow balloon-care or safety instructions
- Incorrect information supplied by the customer
- Damage occurring after proper delivery or collection because of heat, cold, sharp objects, transport or other external causes
- Events outside our reasonable control
We do not exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful.
SECTION 23 – EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR REASONABLE CONTROL
Occasionally we may be prevented or delayed from fulfilling an order because of circumstances outside our reasonable control.
These may include severe weather, road closures, emergencies, power outages, supply interruptions or other unexpected events.
Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to contact affected customers and find an appropriate solution.
Nothing in this section affects any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
SECTION 24 – SEVERABILITY
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or removed to the minimum extent necessary.
The remainder of these Terms will continue to apply.
SECTION 25 – ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the policies referred to on our website, form the agreement between you and Coco Balloons regarding your use of our online store and purchases from us.
Nothing in these Terms overrides mandatory consumer protections provided by law.
SECTION 26 – GOVERNING LAW
These Terms and purchases made through Coco Balloons are governed by the laws of Ireland.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under Irish or European Union law.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the European Union, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections applicable in your country of residence where required by law.
SECTION 27 – CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website, services or legal requirements.
The version that applies to an order will generally be the Terms in effect when that order was placed, subject to any changes required by law.
The latest version will be available on our website.
